As noted in my last post, there is a possibility that the election could result in a tie. Here is how a tie is decided.

The next House of Representatives will select the President. However, instead of each representative getting a vote, each state delegation will get one vote. Currently, the Democrats are the majority in 26 or 27 states. They are expected to pick up seats in November so they should remain the majority in at least 26 states.

However, they may not necessarily vote along party lines. Some house members may feel pressured to vote with the winner of their states popular vote.

The Vice President will be picked by the next Senate with each Senator getting one vote. The Democrats are expected to pick up seats in the Senate so they would presumably pick a Democrat for the Vice Presidency.

It is also possible that an elector can go against the will of his state and switch sides when the Elector's vote on December 15th. In which case, that lone elector will decide our next President.
